Cheers, Season 5HDTV-PGClosed Captioning

Open iTunes to preview or buy TV shows.

Cheers opens stronger than ever in its fifth season in "The Proposal" revealing the recipient of Sam's phone call proposal. Afterwards, it becomes obvious Sam's relationship with Diane nears the make-or-break point. Meanwhile, Frasier once again meets fellow psychiatrist Lilith (Bebe Neuwirth, now a series regular) in "Abnormal Psychology" - with fairly explosive results. Not to be missed is the classic "Thanksgiving Orphans" where the gang gathers at Carla's for an unusual holiday celebration. Following an attempt in "Cheers: The Motion Picture" to assure Woody's parents that his life is fine, Sam and Diane's romance finally comes to a head in "I Do and Adieu".

Where is Frasier?!

Cheers is good although it feels a bit dated now. When will itunes make available Frasier, Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond??

inconsistent quality

I love that this show is available in HD, but it seems like some episodes have a lot better image quality than others. For example, Dinner at Eight-Ish has a lot of skipped frames and it's distracting to watch, and the Season 6 Christmas episode looks like maybe it hasn't been deinterlaced. Like when characters move, it looks kind of fuzzy. Because it's some random episodes that are like this instead of all of them, maybe it's a problem with the original footage and nothing can be done about it. But it's unfortunate that they're not all clean/crisp.
