Bob Newhart is back as successful Chicago psychologist Dr. Robert Hartley in the third season of this hilarious '70s sitcom. As the good doctor continues working with his patients on their issues, he continues to be a "master of denial" concerning his own personal issues at home. But Bob is finally forced to accept the fact that he may have a problem or two when his obsessive-compulsive behavior and inferiority complex cause his self-doubt to soar — and his patient list to shrink. Maybe it's finally time he took his wife's advice and scheduled a psychologist appointment of his own!

The Ultimate 70s Hip Couple
Bob Newhart made up the most amazing television line-up ever: The 70s CBS Saturday evening schedule which began with All in The Family, followed by The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Bob Newhart and then The Carol Burnett Show. Emily and Bob were two relatively hip middle-aged adults, who demonstrated to me growing up what the 70s ideal of a liberated marriage could be. Bob Newhart was adult comedy -- there weren't cute kids telling jokes (as would come in the awful 80s television) but instead smart situations and real dialogue to make the serious enjoyable. Bob Newhart is worth watching alone for the amazing, beautiful and sophisticated Suzanne Pleshette.
One of the best TV Series in the history of sitcom television.
Bob is simply brilliant and the entire cast is equally great. This series is one of the best shows in the history of television, right up there with MASH and Cheers. It gives you a great ensemble of a cast & great stories. One more thing, NO ONE can balk of the price of the seasons. At $25 its a steal. I remember when this hit DVD just a few years ago, it was priced $60 at retailers. This price is simply one of the best prices around...worth that and every penny.
A real classic
Great show! They just don't make t.v. shows that way anymore..awaiting the fourth season!
