House, Season 6HDTV-14

Open iTunes to preview or buy TV shows.

When the previous season concluded, House was forced to admit that he had lost his grip on reality and could no longer practice medicine. Out of options, he checked himself into a psychiatric hospital. Beginning with a two-hour premiere set almost entirely inside the psychiatric hospital, Season Six will explore House’s long and twisted road to recovery: Can he find some version of sanity and normalcy? Can he stay away from the workplace that arguably drove him to mental instability but is also the only stable foundation in his life? Can Princeton-Plainsboro continue its celebrated Department of Diagnostics without him? How will Cuddy’s relationship with House change, now that their imagined affair is out in the open?

the reason it

loved the episode. it was VERY awesome. the reason its broken into 2 episodes is because House is now in syndication meaning that its re-runs are played on other tv stations. Other tv stations are going to take 2 hours out of a normal broadcast special every time they want to show this particular episode. So they break it into 2 episodes so when other stations play the re-run, they can continue to only show 1 hour of it and then play the next hour on the next day in the same time slot. Heros didn't have to do this because Heros re-runs are ont in syndication to other stations yet. It's smart business for Fox and its affiliates, not cool for our iTunes wallets however....but then again, how many of us are REALLY not going to pay for it anyway...not enough to make a difference :) LOVE THIS SHOW!

Big fan, but cheeky pricing

I am a huge House fan and I have been eagerly awaiting the premiere of Season 6. The only thing I do think is a little cheeky is charging double for an extended episode. Heroes has also started it's new season off with a feature-length episode but is only charging the single episode rate. Still about to click 'Buy' anyhoo.

Check the Standard Format, Its cheaper

I too love House. $2.99 is for the HD format, but you can buy it in standard format at $1.99 per episode. Click on Season 6 to display and get the lower price.
