Grey's getting old...

The writing for Season 4 is just bad! Why is it that there isn't a single couple on this show that is mature enough to have an adult relationship for longer than a month and without cheating? I guess the writers are thinking that real relationships don't attract audiences of mindless schoolgirls and sell ad time... maybe they're right. But I have to say that I am getting REALLY tired of watching a bunch of teenage drama acted out by highly educated doctors... I was really impressed with the first and second seasons of this show, but the third season was a step down and now the show has fallen off the ladder. No fault on the actors, the writing is really shallow and atrocious and underestimates its audience. I imagine that the producers and writers will pick up on this after a ratings dip. Already people are switching Thursday-night Grey parties to Thursday-night Office parties at my university... The show has potential, but it can easily be completely squandered if they continue down this path.

This Season A Disappointment

This review is unfortunately coming from a once enraptured and adoring fan of the show. After the heart-wrenching, suspenseful season three finale, I was psyched for the season four premeire. I'd been a huge fan of the previous three seasons - never missing an episode. But after I started watching season four, I didn't feel amazed, inspired, and completely in love with Grey's. Instead I felt, for the first time in my years of watching, disappointment. It seems the writers are stuck on the same frustratingly overused issues - I mean, how much more on-again off-again Derek/Meredith confusion can we take? The new plotlines and relationships are seems everyone likes just about everyone and the story doesn't seem to be going anywhere new. Grey's also just isn't the same with the loss of two main characters - Kate Walsh and Isaiah Washington. Season 4 feels like a different Grey's, one that I feel unmotivated to watch or keep up with anymore. It's kind of like losing a good friend. Don't waste your money on this season - check out the previous three and you won't be disappointed.

Too much back and forth

This season really toyed with the viewer--is Meredith going to stay with McDreamy? Is McDreamy going to stay with Meredith? Is x going to stay with y? Is there someone in the hospital in a functional relationship? The characters are starting to get annoying--there dramatic and then there's excessive.
