Set against the backdrop of 18th-century Georgian London, Harlots follows brothel matriarch Margaret Wells, who’ll do anything for her two daughters: Charlotte, a beautiful prostitute longing for independence; and Lucy, the youngest daughter whose virginity will be sold to the highest bidder. The Wells women are tested by their dangerous rival, Lydia Quigley, the matriarch of a high-end brothel. In season 2 of Harlots, the deep-set rivalry between 18th-century London matriarchs Margaret Wells (Samantha Morton) and Lydia Quigley (Lesley Manville) reaches new heights when Margaret’s daughter, Charlotte (Jessica Brown Findlay), aligns herself with Lydia, while wealthy socialite Lady Fitz (Liv Tyler) is also drawn into the feud.
