HISTORY makes waves with Great Lake Warriors. For more than 150 years, the Great Lakes has served as one of America's busiest commercial waterways, connecting East Coast ports to America's heartland. Heavy raw materials that build America, like iron ore, are transported in giant barges, guided by tugs. Without which commerce would slow. We follow a maverick American tug boat company as they haul materials between October and January - the most treacherous time of the year. They navigate storms and ice-choked passages, go on ice-breaking missions to free trapped ships, and collide with ships they are pulling. As one of the only independent tug companies, the crew must take huge risks on the ice or go out of business. The dangers are real and the tensions run high on Great Lake Warriors.

I'm guessing History Channel trying to ride the success from other extreme boating shows, but this one is slow and boring. Are these guys building the Golden Gate Bridge, or the Hoover Dam? Heck no. They are bouncing boats in rough lake waters with some rookie employees and a new token black man.. dumb, boring, ridiculous.
A different world -- big boats...big fun
I thought it was interesting .... and I learned a lot. Ning
Great Lake Warriors
Love this show!! I have lived on the Great Lakes most of my life and have always wondered what life was like out there. I've seen some very angry seas and have great respect for the men who battle these conditions. Thanks History Channel for providing some insight into the lives of these Great Lakes Warriors! 5 out of 5 stars!
