Bill Henrickson was elected to the State Senate in Utah...then he shook the state to its core with his shocking election-night announcement that he was a polygamist. Now, Bill (played by Bill Paxton), his three wives and nine children must deal with the consequences as HBO presents the fifth and final season of this iconic drama series. As the season begins, the Henrickson family encounters a wave of hostility from neighbors, Home Plus employees, casino partners, students at their kids' schools, even fellow polygamists hoping to keep their personal lives private. Meanwhile, at Juniper Creek, Alby Grant returns from a self-imposed exile with a new mindset...and revenge on his mind. Can the Henricksons stand up to this flood of ill-will? Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny and Ginnifer Goodwin co-star.

I did not really like the way this series was ended. None of the big conflicts were resolved. The series as a whole was very good, however.

Worst Ending I have ever seen in a series!

Throughout the series i enjoyed watching this unique and original drama, and though my favorite season (season 4) got a lot of criticism, i thought season 5 would at least tie all loose ends. Instead, the finale was inconclusive, incomplete and devoid of power and meaning. Yes some characters got some redemption but most did not even get a final scene, so we'll never know what happened to them these characters we have been watching technically have NO ENDING! As for the main character getting what he deserves in the end fitting …what is not fitting is how it happens and or why.. truly leaving you questioning a lot this ending did not live up to the series.

Its poor writing when things get left messy and in the air, and its even worst when its explained with ineffective scenes, because of this and the lack of resolution with so many story lines the ending did not deliver and i find it insulting to the viewer that this is the send off we got to see.

Most of the season was excellent however, so final grade of the season A-
Final grade on the Finale, F

So dissapointed in the ending the of series.

I felt from the first episode of season 5 something was missing. It flipped and flopped all over the place. Just not the ending I would of imagined. I will give it time and maybe come to it again. I just did not feel the ended gave it justice at all. I kinda understrand whu Barb was pushing to become to spiritiual leader because she felt something terrible was about to happen leaving her family with no guidence. They could of done a much better job. The show deserved that much !
