"Let the Buyer Beware"
The Pink Panter is awsome, no question about it. The problem with these videos is that they are simply not what you would expect. The introductions, for instance, are not the original songs. The shows themselves only have The Panther and The Inspector; leaving out The Ant and The Aardvark (a personal favorite) and Crazy Legs. As much as I love the show, it's not what I thought I was buying, as often happens on iTunes. At two dollars per episode with missing parts I think I'll stick with Bommerang.
Disapointed, not what I expected
I am dissapointed for the following reasons: 1) The intro music to each cartoon is not from the origional cartoons. (No "A Shot in the Dark" or "The Pink Panther Theme") 2) The video quality of the 70's cuts is very poor. This was a cheap release of the cartoons and should have been remastered off of the origionals.
Ohmigosh! The memories!
How cool is this! One of the classic cartoons of my generation. After watching the first episode, I had to stop to check if I was in my pajamas with a bowl of Trix. Even with all the imperfections of the cheaply-done cell animation of yester-decade, I can't help but love every minute of these cartoons. This show was a one in a million - the Pink Panther never talked - only music and sound effects were used, and it was still very entertaining.
