The primetime soap's eighth season picks up right where season seven ended. Matthew Blaisdel threatens to Kill Blake to insure Krystle's cooperation, Alexis is saved from certain death by a mysterious and handsome stranger, Sean Rowan, Dana and Adam fly off on their honeymoon and Jeff finds Fallon's unconscious body abandoned in the desert. As the season progresses, their marriage begins to once again fall apart. They are not the only couple who experience trouble: Steven and Sammy Jo don't have a very long reconciliation, while the desire for children destroys Adam and Dana's marriage. Alexis marries Sean, unaware that he is Joseph's son and Kirby's brother who is out for revenge. In the action-packed season finale, Sean takes Leslie's baby and holds her captive. Finding the location of the call through a wire tap, Adam and Steven hurry to the desolate mountain cabin. They find Leslie badly beaten, but Sean has already taken off with the baby. Chasing after him, Adam and Steven find him and get back the baby, but not before Sean is able to escape. Grappling with all the uncertainty in his life and Sammy Jo's current love affair with Jeff, Steven decides to leave Denver. Meanwhile, concerned about Krystle's sudden headaches, Blake places a call to her doctor. Returning to the Carrington mansion, he finds their room a total mess, and Krystle gone.
