Description

Adolf Hitler. Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Benito Mussolini. Winston Churchill. Charles de Gaulle. George Patton. Before they were the giants of WWII, they were infantrymen and administrators in WWI, the “war to end all wars.” The World Wars™ from HISTORY® and H2® brings you the story of the devastating three decades of 20th-century world war through the eyes of the men whose characters were forged in the trenches before they commanded a world on the brink of disaster. See how, from Ypres and the Somme to the Battle of the Bulge and the invasion of Normandy, the iconic figures of WWII became synonymous with either battlefield glory or murderous fascism.

Interesting

I'm not really into history that much but I'll watch this. Looks good.

Learn something new

Learn somethings that I didn't know about WWI. Like two important American generals of WWII meeting on the battle field in WWI. Also how Germany paid to have the Russian Czar fall by sending Vladimir Ilyich Lenin out of exile back to Russia by funding him.

Horribly Inaccurate

This series is so cheaply made and inaccurate I wish I could get my money back. Many of the scenes have completely wrong equipment and stock footage from movies is littered throughout, making it seem extremely patched together. The series is very loose with the facts too, omitting important events and disregarding details as much as possible. One example is when the say that Patton conquered Italy in six weeks. In reality they're referring to Sicily and even that statement is extremely biased and inaccurate. Any first year editor should have of caught these obvious blunders. Very disappointing.
