Description
From Eric Kripke (“Revolution,” “Supernatural”), Shawn Ryan (“The Shield”), and the producers of “The Blacklist” comes this thrilling action-adventure series in which a mysterious criminal, Flynn (Goran Višnjić), steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine, intent on destroying America as we know it by changing the past. Our only hope is an unexpected team: Lucy (Abigail Spencer), a history professor, Wyatt (Matt Lanter), a soldier, and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett), a scientist, who must use the machine’s prototype to travel back in time to critical events. While they must make every effort not to affect the past themselves, they must also stay one step ahead of this dangerous fugitive. But can this handpicked team uncover the mystery behind it all and end his destruction before it’s too late?

Loved the Previews, Hated the Launch and Concept
NBC had a premier Blitz in the annoucing of this latest Sci-Fi style show Timeless. From the previews it looked like it would be a roller coaster of a ride with hidden historical secrets. However, during last nights episode, we were greeted by a Villian, and three heroes, a Technical Wonder, Military Muscle, and a female Historian. The storyline was ok, as for a Sci-Fi flick, but when you sprinkle in events from History, Racism, and Machismo, one asks the question of why? As for Racism, so the Technical Wonder who is prtrayed by and African American, is asked to help the Timeless Time with the Life-Boat Pod and reminds the questing party, going back in time for a Black Man is not going to be received well. First encounter - He enters a bar with the other 2 heroes, only to have the patrons look at him with disguss, not to be outdone, the female historian, tells him to wait outside and not make eye-contact with anyone. next encounter is at the local precinct, where he asks for water and the Officer tells him to swallow his own spit, adding (Boy). Only to have the Officer, go and get his partner to beat the Black Character. See a pattern? Those scenes and others with the Hiddenburg and the assumption, electrical static charge from grounding the ropes in water set off a discharge, which combined with the Hydrogem Gas caused the ship to explode. If the writers would like to add racism annotations and comments, they could atleast have historical facts followed. Ying and the Yang
