Description

With the Authority in flames, TruBlood in short supply and humans and vampires in open conflict, a plethora of new threats arise for Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her Bon Temps allies in Season Six of the hit HBO series. As "Billith" comes to terms with his new powers after emerging from a pool of blood at the close of Season Five, Louisiana governor Truman Burrell (Arliss Howard) declares open season on vampires, replete with novel anti-vamp weapons and a high-tech internment camp. Meanwhile, Sookie and Jason steel themselves for an encounter with the killer of their parents: the mysterious and ancient Warlow.

Falling short for a the second season in a row

While ultimately a great show, True Blood Season 6 is under developed and nonsensical with many interesting concepts, ideas, plot points, and characters that are not cohesive or sophisticated as previous years.

Not as good as it once was

Ever since the end of the 3rd season, True Blood has slowly been on the decline. Although it is ultimately my favorite show, I think it's about time it comes to a close.

Why?

I personally found the fall of Season 5 to be awesome. Sure, it was *SPOILER* about the authority and how their power can cause great consequence most of the time, unlike the other 4 seasons, but at the same time, you have to pay attention to season 4’s outcome. If you actually listen to the storyline, you can tell that’s where the story was headed for season 5, due to what happened in season 4. So don’t say it sucked, because really, whether all of it happened in five episodes or not, it still would have happened. Sure, it was a bit outstretched with the 12 episode season, but I found season 5 to be a bit of a clean slate, to show that what has happened in the past can be altered with this season. So now, with season 6, I fell in love with True Blood yet again. By this time, the show has left the books alone, taking just the focal points of the main storyline and using them in unique ways. Season 6 was the first season with a 10 episode run, and season 7 will be the last, as well as the final season. So, with the events of season 6, I am proud to say it was a great season. They made room with new ideas with the events in season 5, causing season 6 to blow my mind in many ways. I am really curious to see how, after season’s 6 outro of “RADIOACTIVE”, they will pan out the final 10 hours of True Blood’s moments in just that, 10 hours. With all the best, the books are WAAAAYY better, but the originality of the show has kept me hooked and kept me a fan.
