When viewers first met Richard Castle -- a famous mystery novelist and divorced father raising his teenage daughter, while being kept grounded by his Broadway diva mother -- he was creatively blocked. But when the NYPD questioned him in connection with a series of murders staged to imitate crime scenes from his books, Castle found inspiration in NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, a bright and aggressive homicide detective with a fascination for odd and offbeat cases stemming from the years-old unsolved murder of her own mother. Though they instantly clashed, sparks of another sort began to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance as Castle stepped in to help find the copycat killer. Once that initial case was solved, Castle and Beckett continued to investigate strange homicides in New York, combining Castle's writer intuition and Beckett's creative detective work. Then, after four seasons of "will they" or "won't they," Castle and Beckett finally gave into their feelings for each other. Working together as a couple during Season 5, the crime-solving dynamic duo navigated new chapters in their lives, culminating in a cliffhanger in which Castle got down on one knee and asked Beckett to marry him. Season 6 will begin with her answer...

I think Kate's rose colored glasses just came off

Love the 2 part season shows. I think the look on Kate's face shows her realizing what moral fiber she has compared to Special Agent Partner. Black and White comment was a good one. Let the rose colored glasses come off.

Biggest fan ever

I think this show is the best I ever seen keep it on for 6 more years.

I think We all have a lil' love-hate relationship now

I LOVE the old Castle episodes! They are hilarious and the mysteries & murders keep you on your toes. But ever since Castle & Beckett finally got together, I feel like the show is missing something! Its as if the writers just slacked off! Season 5 felt really humdrum to me, but I guess coming off of the amazing 4th season it should. Season 6 is just worse! First, if you really look at Beckett's character, you see that she's afraid of commitment & she gets very emotional. Thats why I felt like even though I wanted her to say yes to the proposal, I was expecting a no. Second, the whole going to DC thing was a waste of 3 episodes! I was getting to the point where in my head I was saying "if the whole season is going to be like this then I'll just stop watching it" because it lacked the funny back-n-forth that everyone loves from C & B, and all the supporting characters that really tie the show together were virtually missing! Third, I really wish the writer's hadn't skipped the first 2 months of their engagement b/c there wold have been a lot of good scenes there. Fourth, The whole Alexis love Pi thing seems so out of character for her! she has always been the good girl who does the opposite of what her father would have done in a situation, and now she's moved in with Pi!? NO ITS NOT OKAY! I feel like there are just too many things out of whack this season. Finally, while I love the C & B relationship, there is too much of it sometimes. I feel like the writers have made the show practically a love show now! What really ticks me off is the Season's cover picture! Every other season's pick incorporated where they were in their relationship AND the police & mystery side. Every other cover has had at least had them hand cuffed to each other! But in this one, they are just staring into each other eyes! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE THIS SHOW AND I WILL ALWAYS WATCH IT!! But I definitely have a bone to pick with the writers this season.
