As season four of the action series continues, Nikita's wits and ingenuity keep her alive in a pressure-cooker environment. Under the tutelage of her mysterious mentor, Michael — who becomes her lover — Nikita has transformed into a highly trained agent fighting global terrorism by any means necessary. She may not always make the right choice, but she never loses her sense of self — even after Section One brainwashes her and it's up to Michael to reverse the experimental process. Meanwhile, Operations prepares for a looming full-scale war between the Section and its shadowy monitoring organization, Oversight. With the potential destruction of Oversight's leader, ultimate power beckons to Operations — if it doesn't blow up in his face. Recurring guest stars include Carlo Rota (24) as Nikita's neighbor, Mick, and Sian Phillips as Adrian, the founder of Section One. Aaron Ashmore (Smallville), Maxwell Caulfield (Emmerdale Farm, Grease 2) and a young Michael Cera (Juno) also guest star.

This season saw major development in several of our favorite characters: Michael and Nikita with their roles in the first four episodes as well as the last three. Birkoff….well, he shined and tarnished alternately in Abort, Fail, Retry, Terminate - arguably the season's saddest episode. I about bawled my eyes out the first time it aired and it's still hard to watch even now, years later. It teased several small but significant plots that were never resolved due to the series untimely cancellation, namely WHY Walter was the one who decided which twin would stay in Section, and even though fans rallied hard for an abbreviated Season 5, that answer never came. There just wasn't time. So if this is your first run at LFN, watch it, enjoy it, love it, but don't expect not to scream at the end of Season 4 or 5 for that matter.
My favorite TV show ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
