Star Trek: The Original Series, Season 2TV-PGClosed Captioning

Open iTunes to preview or buy TV shows.

For the crew of the USS Enterprise, our galaxy must seem a distinctly unfriendly place. This year, the Milky Way will be the victim of attacks by at least three planet-killing entities including a perfection-seeking machine, a giant robot, and an enormous single-celled amoeba-like creature. Faith in our commanders will be shaken as one by one a Starfleet Commodore becomes dangerously unhinged after losing his entire crew; a high-ranking ambassador is accused of a murder on board the Enterprise; and a Starfleet Captain sells out his crew by offering them the choice between a life of luxury or the gladiators' arena on a Roman-style planet. Old adversaries, the Klingons, will resurface to foster instability, whether by inciting rebellion in stable societies, by giving advanced weapon technology to primitive races, or by poisoning vital food supplies. And Kirk's crew will discover that life is even more violent in at least one parallel universe. Luckily, some light relief is provided in the form of Harry Mudd's army of eager-to-please android women, and of course, those "little bundles of pure love," the Tribbles. Lastly, we must welcome a new navigator to the Enterprise: step forward, Pavel Andreievich Chekov. The Voyage continues.

NOT the original series version. Remastered!!!

The listing states this is the "original series". Other versions indicate they are the "Remastered" version. Since this listing does not indicate it is "remastered", I expected it to be the original, unaltered version. IT ISN'T.

The opening credit music has s wailing female singing along with the music, and the planets are digitally altered from the original series. Obviously, this is the remastered (digitally altered) version.

If that's what you want, fine, but I was disappointed. I thought I was purchasing the original, unaltered, un-remastered version.

Journey to Babel

I have seen this episode many times and enjoyed it - 5 Stars! So I decided to purchase this copy to see it on my iPad whenever I want.

Just like the previous poster, I purchased The Trouble With Tribbles and Journey To Babel expecting them to be the original versions and they are NOT! I contacted iTunes help and they refunded my money, but as far as fixing the problem goes I was given a link to a complaint forum that I'm sure is no better than spitting in the wind.

It's bad enough that I can't get any version of The Cage so I can have the complete series, but now I can't get the ENTIRE second season, either?!?

C'mon iTunes, this is the original Star Trek for goodness sakes! STAR TREK!! Please fix this so I can give you some more money!!!
