Description

In Young Justice, being a teenager means proving yourself over and over — to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and, ultimately, to yourself. But what if you're not just a normal teenager? What if you're a teenage super hero? How much harder will it be to prove yourself in a world of super powers, super villains and super secrets? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you're worthy of the Justice League? That's exactly what the members of Young Justice — Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis — are finding out … whether they have what it takes to be a proven hero. In season two of this fun and adventurous series from Warner Bros. Animation, the members of Young Justice continue to test their strengths and fears as they take on new challenges, battles and secrets, fighting to save the world from intergalactic bounty hunters and super powered teenage runaways.

TAKING IT'S TIME TO TELL A STORY

A 5 year time jump can be a big deal. A lot of things will change, people will grow up, die, move on with their lives. Part of what life is. Young Justice Season 2 takes the risk of jumping forward 5 years. It gives us hints as to how things have changed without spoiling it for us. It takes it's time to fill us in on everything and it does it through character interaction rather than straight up exposition.

Some people will complain because it's different, jarring and confusing at first, but that's what the writers want the audience to feel. They want the shock of how everything is different because now the audience is curious. They're curious the same way they were during the Flash Sideways in LOST. Just stay with the show, let it unfold in it's own time and it will pay off. This is a show that took it's time with the first season, letting the plot unwind over the course of more than 2 dozen episodes and it's still going. Don't expect all the answers up front.

That said, the animation is top notch, the voice acting is some of the best on TV right now and the writing is superb. Not a great place to start, but a welcome change from the regular ho-hum writing of most Super Hero shows.

FYI

Just so people know new episodes of young justice is coming back in January they were going to cancel it but do to and outcry from fans there going to air new episodes in January

The show just gets better and better

So far Young justice is blowing my mind away! I love how the invasion storyline is playing out and hope the conclusion to this immersive story will lead to a season three.
