Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Shopping Assistant as the name implies helps you do your shopping chore in a cost effective manner. It’s primary purpose is to assist you when you are buying your groceries. Most items that are sold nowadays have a barcode printed on them. This application basically stores information on items you have scanned. You will have to setup your database initially since unlike other applications, this app doesn’t do an online search. Not all countries have an online price comparison database. The initial database setup involves scanning items you commonly buy and entering the item’s description, price, shop where you bought it from and other relevant information. The next time you see the same item in another shop, you can then scan the item and the app will do a search and show you the price information you have stored for that item. You can then decide to buy the item or not.
What's New in Version 1.2
- Changed the background image on the main screen
- Added a search option in the "List item" screen to facilitate searching
- Added the option to copy out the database to another iDevice. In order to do this, you have to connect your iPhone/iPad to iTunes, and copy out the device, then connect the other iPhone/iPad, and copy in the database. Please check the support website for the steps on how to do this.
This app has been tested in the following devices: iPhone 3GS/4/4S and iPad 2G/3G. This app will not work on the iPod Touch.
