About Yoga Basics
Yoga Basics with Tara is a hatha class for beginners, designed as an introduction to yoga, breathing and asanas (poses). Tara Dale is the founder of Yoga Tree, San Francisco’s premiere yoga studios and teacher training center. Tara has instructed hatha yoga since 1995, and has been teaching at Yoga Tree since its inception. She teaches a tantric based hatha, and is inspired by John Friend, Shiva Rea and Judith Lasater.
The goal of this application is to provide a gentle, slow-moving and informative introduction into a hatha yoga class. It is designed to give you a foundation of yoga, focusing on basic poses and alignment. Tara explores some of the benefits of yoga, with the goal to helping you deepen your self-understanding through physical movement, breathing and meditation.
Yoga helps bring balance and harmony to the body, mind and spirit. It slows the heart rate and helps with strength, flexibility, range of motion and balance. The benefits of yoga are far reaching, whether you just want to tone and strengthen your muscles or learn about the deeper meditative qualities of the asanas. Yoga Basics will guide you through a calm and peaceful practice that will revitalize your body and mind. It will also open the door to this beautiful practice that helps so many people find inner peace.
About Yoga Tree
Tara and her partner Tim Dale created Yoga Tree in 1999, which was the beginning of a flourishing yoga community. Now they have five yoga studios and a world-renowned teacher training center.
