On his fifth album, Vusi Nova stretches boundaries with his voice, transporting the listener towards high peaks and lifting them up from deep valleys. “Nkosi Sihlangene” finds the award-winning vocalist leading an angelic gospel choir and saxophonist Bongani Radebe in song. He tries to heal a broken heart on “Intliziyo”, and “Zungandithembi” addresses yearning hearts, with guest vocalist Kelly Khumalo crooning, “Sometimes I say things I don’t mean”. Meanwhile, Vusi selects guests—including Zahara and Jessica Mbangeni—that contribute hopeful, graceful vocals to this Afro Soul affair.
