A shameless shift in direction from worship back to rock makes Tree63's fifth release a tour de force. Raw stadium-ready riffs permeate nearly every track, with some sensational ballads thrown in as well. Experimental and true to their roots at the same time, the bandmembers give a shout-out to their '80s influences, ranging from the Police and U2 to, of course, Delirious?

Originally known simply as Tree, Tree63 is an alternative CCM group from Durban, South Africa, influenced by bands like delirious? and Sonicflood, with dashes of U2, Jars of Clay, and early dc Talk for good measure. Guitarist/lead vocalist John Ellis, bassist Scoop, and drummer Daryl Swart got together in late 1996 to perform at a local Christian music festival assembled by producer Martin Engel.
